A special
security committee at the Prague airport took
measures at the request of the foreigner police
in reaction to the thwarted terrorist attacks on
several planes in London this morning.
Passport
and security clearance will be tighter.
Passengers will have to take off their shoes,
for example. They will not be allowed to take
any liquids aboard planes.
Bublan
today asked Police President Vladislav Husak for
more consistent checks of the staff and
passengers embarking on planes.
The
counter-intelligence service (BIS) has no
information about any pending threat either, BIS
spokesman Jan Subert said.
He said
that BIS has become more attentive recently, but
has no information about a possible danger. "BIS
has no signs indicating an imminent danger,
neither in relation to Czech planes," Subert
said.
The Czech
Airlines has cancelled today's 12:35 flight from
Prague to London and suspended the preparation
of another three flights as London's Heathrow
airport has been closed.
"We're in
permanent contact with our partners abroad,"
Czech intelligence service (UZSI) head Bohumil
Srajer said.
